About

Bryan and Joleen Fenstermacher both pinpoint their love of
photography to very early in their lives. Before the two childhood sweethearts
even met, Bryan and Joleen were snapping photos of the places they had been and
the people they love with instamatic cameras. After they had been dating for a
few years, Joleen sent Bryan off to Chicago for college, with a new camera in
hand, to continue the journey each of them had begun separately – recording
life’s moments.

It is this love of the capturing the moment that both Bryan
and Joleen relish. Each brings their unique point of view to the process.

Bryan

Bryan tries to find the most interesting or beautiful aspect
of each moment. That may mean zeroing in on an infant’s tiny little feet,
knowing that even tomorrow, they will never be the same. Sometimes it requires
capturing the view in totality, such as a bride and groom exiting the Church
and passing through the crowd of loved ones. Each frame is a chance to
communicate a particular perspective.

Bryan also shares his passion for photography through being
an active member of the photo-sharing web site Flickr. Through Flickr, Bryan
has passed on his knowledge of the art-form to many other members and is
extending his teaching into in-person workshops. Flickr has also brought
Bryan’s photography to a worldwide audience, which has picked up on his talent,
leading to photos and an article published in JPG Magazine and Popular
Photography.

Joleen

Through photography, Joleen strives to create a record of
the milestones in life. It is an opportunity to stop time, so that it can be
looked upon and cherished in the future. Joleen brings the same care to taking
photos of the lace trim of a bride’s gown as she does to capturing the grin on
her daughter’s face.

Joleen continues to stay active in the local photography
community by participating in classes at Columbus State University and local
photography events. Her work has been published in Urban Land Magazine.

Together

Bryan and Joleen bring a sense of teamwork to photographing
events that comes with 10 years of marriage. When they work together, they
collaborate in order to help each other achieve their own ideas and visions. It
also provides them with the freedom to approach the same topic from multiple
angles, so not a single beat is missed.

When Joleen and Byan are not taking photos of other people,
places or things, they can be found enjoying the moments of their very own
lives. They are currently watching their daughter Ella discover the world
around her. Bryan explores a passion for music through playing bass guitar.
Joleen can be found expressing her creativity through cooking.
